In July 2020 Opus 2 were pleased to host a webinar with CIArb Nigeria Branch on the adoption of virtual hearings due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The webinar included an engaging panel; Adeyemi Agbelusi ASCMA, FICMC, FCIArb – Mediator and Arbitrator, Principal Partner, Berean Associates, Olusola Adegbonmire, Second Vice Chairman, CIArb Nigera Branch, Taryn Auchecorne, Business Development Director and Andrew Knight, Client Solutions Director, both from Opus 2.
The session started with a demonstration of Opus 2’s integrated technology to show how Opus 2 powers arbitration proceedings from the outset to conclusion.
Over the last few months Opus 2 have carried out hundreds of virtual hearings for legal teams worldwide to overcome the effects of COVID 19. Andrew Wright provided an overview of how virtual hearings, powered by Opus 2 are facilitated, showing how it can be transitioned from a in-person hearing, to one held remotely.
Taryn Auchecorne provided an overview of Opus 2’s collaboration with leading arbitration venues such as the IAC and IDRC in London, and Maxwell Chambers in Singapore and how these partnerships can be harnessed to provide the very best virtual and hybrid hearing experience.
A question and answer session concluded the webinar, where the audience submitted questions regarding cost-savings and time efficiencies of the Opus 2 platform. and more detailed questions around the key features.
